My name is Jennifer Barnes.
I am a Stanford GSB alumna, a mother of three, a keynote speaker, a podcast host, and the creator of The Steeled Protocol. But before any of that, I am a survivor. In January 2016, my husband Jeff jumped from the Transamerica building in San Francisco, leaving me to raise our three children alone. Five years later, my eldest son Grant was murdered. These losses did not define me. They forged me. Through the wreckage of unimaginable grief, I built a framework for rebuilding that I now share with audiences and leaders around the world. The Steeled Protocol is a seven-pillar governance system for reconstructing your life, your leadership, and your legacy after catastrophic loss.
The Seven Pillars
The Steeled Protocol is built on seven pillars, each one born from lived experience and refined through years of rebuilding. These pillars form a governance system for personal reconstruction: Daily Integrity Nodes, Mental and Biological Telemetry, The Stress Magnitude Matrix, Connection and Fellowship Nodes, The Catalyst Cadence, Redemptive Service Nodes, and Consecrated Legacy Tracking. Together, they provide a structured path from devastation to purpose.
